I saw an advance screening of The Holiday last night. You know, the new chick flick with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. All I can say is, thank god we and Hollywood have Kate. She is just so beautiful in such a real way. She has curves, but healthy ones. She has lines, but happy ones. Cameron Diaz - despite having a freak-of-nature body - is also one of those comfy-in-their-own-skin kind of girls. She’s never too vain to make scrunchy or strange facial expressions. Which I love. So many actresses seem to think about how they are looking before they emote. Or maybe the botox is getting in the way. I don’t want to get on my high-horse about botox/etc too much - I do think it’s a personal decision for each woman to make - but I am loving the fact that there are some cool chicks in movie-land proving that scrunchy, lined faces can be the most beautiful kind.
