It’s because I have recently found myself eating like it’s going out of style. And I don’t want to feel bad about it. I don’t do guilt well (despite the Catholic upbringing). Today I plan to consume, at the very least: a gorgeous little biscuit I have discovered called a marabba - a middle-eastern flavoured delicacy featuring pistachio and rosewater; a zucchini flower pizza (the perfect balance of flash and trash); some dark chocolate with blueberry bits in it (it’s a brand called Endangered Species – as well as being antioxidant-packed, 10% of profits go to saving the sea turtles and grizzly bears of the world – a double-whammy of feel-goodness); and a flute or two of champagne (antibiotics, what antibiotics?). I also plan to wear one of my new fat-day dresses, an empire-lined broderie anglaise-edged breezy white number I just bought, by a brand called Mint, at David Jones. Tomorrow, of course, I’ll probably be wearing something stretchy and running around the park and eating rice cakes, because kilojoule-free days, well, they unfortunately have a way of catching up with you.
Today is Kilojoule-Free Friday
