I start a French conversation course tomorrow. And I’m très nerveuse. It’s been many a year since I studied French at uni, and a couple of years since I spoke it in any way deeper than having conversations in Paris about the coolness of a pair of Stella McCartney shoes or the deliciousness of a raspberry macaroon from Ladurée.
So I’ve been getting back into practice by 1) reading French magazines 2) playing Brigitte Bardot on my ipod. And 3) reading the French instructions on my beauty products. I know, je suis une nerde.
Anyway, as I was reading through the little booklets found in the boxes of the new Chanel Beauté Initiale range (aimed at skin aged 25-35, out Monday), I realised what a gem the eye gel is. Because you can apply it around the whole eye area. As in, the lid as well. Which many eye gels and creams advise against. Which is très stupide in my opinion, seeing as the skin above the eye is just as prone to darkening and ageing and puffing as the skin below.
The other reason to love the eye gel (and the whole range actually)? It works. My review next week.
Bon weekend, mes amies.
