Good question - because this is a tricky little one. Many women mistakenly think of shimmer powder as a pretty alternative to setting powder and dust it everywhere. And end up looking like a disco ball. It’s actually best used just after a translucent powder, to give a few finishing glowy touches. For example, dusted along the upper cheekbones (no lower, or you’ll take away impact from any blush), or dabbed under the eyebrows, or lightly whisked down the bridge of the nose (if you’re not too shiny there already). Like any form of highlighter really. Being a powder, it’s especially suited to oilier skins. But it’s also preference thing. I like shimmer powders for the mess-free way they double up so well for the body. When used with a large soft brush, you can easily dust these powders along collarbones, down arms and shins, even over hair.
