Lancôme Brazilian Earth Colours collection – by Daria Werbowy
The supermodel and face of Lancôme isn’t quite Brazilian (she’s from Canada) but, like most of us, may have a little bit of a Gisele complex. (more…)

Go for a leave-in treatment that doubles as a thermal protectant. One of my faves is Sebastian Original Potion No9 ($49 from selected salons, call 1300 728 333 for info). It’s pricey, yes, but a little goes a very long way and it’s just a dream of a product – super-nourishing, detangling and softening. If you do want more of a budget buy, try John Frieda Frizz-Ease Serum Thermal Protection Formula ($14.99, from Priceline, David Jones and selected supermarkets and pharmacies). Just remember that, again, a little goes a long way, and to apply it when hair is still dripping-wet.
The Look: Sleekly defined eyes.
The Low-Down: Black etched on the inner rims – both the lower and upper – is usually enough to give your eyes all the definition they need (along with a few flicks of mascara too, of course). Go for a kohl-based pencil, which is gentle enough to be used on the rims.
The Lust-After: M.A.C Technakohl Liner in GraphBlack, $35 from M.A.C
Justin Timberlake for Givenchy’s next men’s fragrance, Play. That’s all really. Enjoy, ladies.

Weaving highlights and lowlights is a talent. In the wrong hands, it can look stripy. In the right ones, it should be really soft and subtle, like a diffused multi-faceted glow. If you don’t trust your colourist to get it right, you could try having a colour glossing at the salon to give your hair a temporary tint – many of the brands have shades such as ash, caramel and even lilac, which are a low-commitment way to try new twists of blonde. (You’ll also get a great infusion of shine and condition, which you probably need after all that blonding). Alternatively, you could switch to just half-head highlights and have the bottom half of your hair coloured to a dark-blonde or light-brown. It sounds strange, but actually works really well. It won’t look two-tone or obvious (although perhaps a little if you wear your hair up), but it will nevertheless have the effect of giving your blonde more depth and dimension.
