Do you always have to buff mineral makeup into skin? I heard that you only do this when it contains cheap fillers.

Actually the opposite is true. The higher-quality a mineral makeup is, the more you’re working with just pure pigment – and pigment doesn’t go onto skin so smoothly on its own (which is why so much makeup adds in talc and other such fillers and spreaders). That’s why you really do need to buy one of those kabuki brushes and work the product into the skin. A little more effort than the regular powder makeup – but totally worth the effort.
