… and it was quite the beauty revelation. Now for some of you, you’re probably thinking: “Well, of course you used a lip brush. You’re a beauty editor. That’s what you always say to do.” But others of you will know that 1) I rarely take my own advice and 2) I can be a lazy old beauty cow. I’m not sure what inspired me to dig out the lip brush in the first place, and skip my usual finger-smudging lip-gloss technique. But I’m so glad I did, because I remembered that brushing on lip gloss (or lipstick, for that matter) is soooo worth the effort. Because:
• More goes on than with one of those sponge-tippy things - or than if you’re swiping straight from a lipstick tube – because you can really load up the brush.
• And more stays on for longer – because you’re pressing pigment into lips.
• You can use a lip brush to double up as a liner, because you can get in there and perfectly define the lipline.
As I said, totally worth the effort. Now, one of these days I’ll start using a hair brush too.

I’m in complete agreement - when I can be bothered to use a lip brush for my Juicy Tubes, the colour looks better and it also stays on for longer.

I rarely use a lipbrush. I use my lipbrush more for applying on concealer as the waxy head makes the concealer glide on more smoothly for a flawless finish
