Name: Anya
From: Sydney
Beauty Signature: Pale skin, hair and lips with a darker eye.
Beauty Icon: Sasha Pivovarova, I love how beautiful her skin and facial features are. She makes any beauty trend look beautiful, from the palest colours to the black lips she did for Armani’s beauty ads.
All-Time Top Buy: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler ($39 from David Jones Sydney & Melbourne). Once you try it you see what a huge difference a good eyelash curler makes to giving your eyes definition and making a mascara go so much further.
Other Beauty Essentials: L’Oréal Professionnel Techni.Art Full Volume Extra Mousse ($22.95, call 1300 651 141 for salon details), to give my fine hair volume. Benefit 10 Bronzer & Highlighter ($49 from Adore Beauty) for a hint of colour. Exceptionnel De Chanel Mascara ($50 from department stores) and Klorane Dry Shampoo ($12 from pharmacies) is a lifesaver for mornings I wish I washed my hair the night before.
Best Beauty Bargain: Everyday Minerals foundation (see Everyday Minerals) - it’s much cheaper than the other brands and the quality is comparable to the mineral makeup made by Philosophy & Bare Escentuals. The colour range is bigger and you can chose your own formula. It’s a hundred per cent natural and they do not test on animals.
Biggest Beauty Splurge: La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Cream ($260 from La Prairie) as my night-time moisturiser. It’s very rich but doesn’t overpower my oily skin, rather it gives me a beautiful glow in the morning.
Top Beauty Tip: Spend some time picking out the perfect foundation for you. I think a clear and glowing complexion is the most beautiful thing and once you have that and start experimenting with colour, it’ll look so much more beautiful.
Latest Trend to Love: Gorgeous red lips, and the darker reds for lips look very glamorous.
Dirty Beauty Secret: Washing my face until it’s squeaky clean. I know it’s bad but sometimes you just want to get your skin as clean as possible and go a step too far!
PS: Come and join the ROTW club! All you need to do is answer the above questions (don’t worry about prices and stockist details, I’ll do those) and email them to me, along with a photo, and your address (so I can send you a thank you goodie from the BE cupboard).
PPS: Winners of last week’s Mount Franklin pilates packs: Amanda Diggins, Sunili Govinnage, Judi Damon, Lisa Chhour and Caroline Gunnulson. Congrats!

I love your look Anya, very cool. The Everyday Minerals sound great, will check them out. Thanks for all your tips!

Nice to meet you Anya! I’ve heard so many rave reviews about Everyday Minerals. You can purchase some small pots for a small fee which is great.

I love your hair Anya. Do you get lowlights underneath or just lightened top half?

Hi Anya, I love your hair. It’s very Bardotish. Some excellent tips there and I am also a huge fan of pale skin. I’ll have to save up for the La Prairie cream but thank you for that tip. Lovely to meet you!

Thankyou for the kind words guys
Mel: You can get a free sample where they send you three foundations, blush and concealer, but delivery costs about five australian dollars. They lasted me a good two weeks though.
Sara: I’ve bleached the top of my hair, and dyed the underneath of it as well.
