Name: Val
From: Melbourne
Beauty Signature: Pink lips and false eyelashes.
Beauty Icon: Leighton Meester. She never fails to do effortless chic so flawlessly whether it is in Gossip Girl or out of it.
All-Time Top Buy: La Mer Fluid Tint ($165 from La Mer). It delivers perfect coverage (even for eyes), plumps, moisturises and doubles as a sunscreen. Also, Utowa Eyelash Curler ($45 from Mecca Cosmetica) and Dr.Lipp Lip Balm ($34 from Mecca Cosmetica).
Other Beauty Essentials: Benefit High Beam ($42 from Adore Beauty), Rimmel Glam’Eyes Mascara ($18.95 from pharmacies), Biotherm Light Catch Concealer ($38, from selected Myer stores, or call 1300 668 450 for info), M.A.C lipsticks (from M.A.C), Chanel lipglosses (from department stores), Ren Rosa Centifolia Face Wash ($52 from Mecca Cosmetica) and Trilogy CoQ10 Booster Capsules ($45.95, call 03 9533 1336 for info) for radiantly plumped skin.
Next on the Shopping List: By Terry Touch Expert ($80 from Mecca Cosmetica).
Best Beauty Bargain: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (from pharmacies). My favorite cleanser to wash/tissue off. Occasionally, I mix it with raw sugar for a full body scrub or bicarbonate soda for a thorough exfoliating cleanse. The price is dirt-cheap and it lasts forever.
Biggest Beauty Splurge: Ten sessions of IPL treatment a couple of years ago. It was expensive but worth every single cent of it as it took away my teenage acne scars and pigmentation.
Top Beauty Tip: Take time to massage/pat in all the expensive lotions, essence and creams. It does make a difference as oppose to slopping it onto the face. I also scrub twice a week and do various hydrating/collagen booster/brightening/purifying/peeling/ masks throughout the week depending on my skin’s condition.
Latest Trend to Love: Purple eyeshadow like lilac or dark purple eyeliner. It looks so sexy and it gives the black and brown eyeliner a break.
Dirty Beauty Secret: I don’t scrub my neck enough seeing that I put on just as much sunscreen, moisturizer and occasionally tinted moisturizer daily. Another one is that I can’t help rubbing my eyes when I wake up in the morning. So sinful but I cannot help it!
PS: Winners of last week’s Berry Radical competition: Emma Hyatt, Joy Constantino, Amanda White, Nicole Hanham and Michelle Lyons. Congrats end enjoy!

Nice to meet you Val. I’ve been wanting to try the Trilogy capsules.

Nice to meet you too Mel! Trilogy capsules are awesome and cheap. Definitely value for money.
Hi Anniex, I try my best to put minimal makeup on my face. Just a little on the eye and lips. Learning to accept my flaws instead of covering it. Nice to meet you too

Another gorgeous reader. Nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing that great tip about Cetaphil mixed with the raw sugar for the body scrub. Who would have thought? And I love false eyelashes and pink lips! That is a truly adorable sex kitten look x
