The lovely Joico folk took us to a Melbourne Cup lunch yesterday – this is me with Leigh from Cosmo and Rachael from Cleo. As you can see, there’s no rivalry between the beauty editors. We have to see each other at a function at least once a day, so you really have to come to like each other, or you have a really unfun time of it. But luckily, they’re all such easy girls to like (if I may say so myself …)

But if there was any sort of competition, it would be for the beauty find that nobody else knows about. We’re all always decked out in our Becca face tints, Stila shadows, Lancôme mascaras – the usual suspects. And our Joico hair treatment, of course! But every now and then, one of the girls makes a why-didn’t-I-think-of-that beauty move.

Yesterday it was Leigh, who rocked a fabulous coral-orange lip, courtesy of Clarins. It doesn’t look half as hot in the tube as it does on the lip – which is proof of a keen beauty eye. Anyway, I just wanted to share the new obsession – it’s Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in 701 Orange Fizz, $40 from Adore Beauty.
