It depends on what part of the wrinkling process you’re talking about. If you’re worried about, or starting to see, first signs of lines, get onto antioxidants, which fight the free radicals that are breaking down the support structure of skin in the first place. My all-time top is a vitamin C serum – such as Ultraceuticals C-10 Serum ($80 from Adore Beauty).
If you’re seeing wrinkles actually starting to set in, it’s great to also throw some peptides in the mix, as these have a collagen-stimulating effect. The Olay Regenerist range (from pharmacies) is a good one to look to at this time, which is usually from the early to mid thirties. (more…)

This answer is one that tends to change from person to person, as different ingredients seem to suit different lips and lip balm preferences. My personal preference is for ingredients that infuse lips with moisture (seeing as lips don’t produce their own oils), as opposed to barrier ingredients (namely petrolatum jelly, a common component to many lip products), which do little more than sit on the outside and create a shiny coating. You definitely can and in fact, salicylic acid can make benzoyl peroxide work more effectively. That’s because salicylic acid exfoliates, allowing for other treatment ingredients to penetrate better. I have two ideas for you that I’ve pinched from the pros lately …
After blow-drying hair to about 90%, take a heap of large butterfly clips and pinch them horizontally into hair all over. You’ll need about four per section of hair, although you can be quite haphazard about it. Finish drying hair then, after about ten minutes, take out the clips, spritz on hairspray, and you’ll see an effect similar to the hair in this photo, from the recent Proenza Schouler show, where stylists used this exact method to kink and wave hair.
